Holst Garn Supersoft is a blend of 50% Merino Wool and 50% Shetland Wool.
This quality is available in cake balls a 50 grams and cones at approx 500 grams.
Holst Garn Supersoft is a classic non-superwash yarn in pure new wool. It is a 2-ply yarn in a blend of 50% merino wool and 50% shetland wool. The wool is from New Zealand and Australia - all from non-mulesing sources.
It is perfect for both knitting and crochet - a great yarn that can be knit/chrochet with 1 or more threads together.
Holst Garn Supersoft is available in a large variety of shades - both solid and melange.

Note: The yarn is delivered unwashed and contains a bit of spinning oil and excess dye.
1 thread Supersoft at needles 3-3.5 mm / US 2.5-4 : Approx. 25 stitches = 10 cm / 4 inches
2 threads Supersoft at needles 4-4.5mm / US 6-7 : Approx. 16 stitches = 10 cm / 4 inches
1 thread Supersoft + 1 thread Titicaca or Lucia at needles 4-4.5 mm / US 7-8 : Approx. 21 stitches = 10 cm / 4 inches
Supersoft can be machine washed on cold program. You will see how the yarn develops and “blooms” and the yarn will get super soft in the process.

Shipping was fast. I didn't get notified once it arrived in my country but then I checked my mail one day and there it was. It does not feel so soft as I knit it. I bought a cone in this color and others as well. I am crocheting a cardigan for my daughter it is working up fast and it is very warm. Love it.
First knit ever with unwashed yarn, the thread feels a bit dry and rough at the beginning but once you get use to it, it'a real pleasure. The yardage is amazing (no tails to wave) and the yarn softens a lot after washing, absolutely not itchy, even on sensitive skins ! The hardest part is to choose the colors...
